Apple Sets September 9 Event for iPhone 18 Launch

Apple will hold its September 9 launch event, where it is expected to reveal new iPhones, Apple Watches and software updates.

Apple has announced its next major launch event will take place on September 9 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The company is expected to introduce new iPhone models, Apple Watch devices and software updates during the presentation.

The event will use the tagline “Surprise and Shine” and will be the first major Apple product event after John Ternus takes over as CEO from Tim Cook on September 1.

iPhone 18 Pro and New Devices Expected

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Reports suggest the premium models will receive iterative upgrades rather than a major redesign, while the standard iPhone 18 may arrive later.

Reports have also suggested Apple could introduce a foldable iPhone, although the company has not officially confirmed such a device.

Alongside new iPhones, Apple is expected to announce the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra updates and new smart home products.

Software Updates Also Expected

The company may also reveal release dates for upcoming software platforms, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate.

Apple’s September events typically focus on major hardware launches ahead of the holiday season. The company has not yet confirmed the complete lineup for its September 9 presentation.
